“Man of Steel”

a short fiction story

The small town of Red Creek, Arizona, is turned upside down with the arrival of an unconventional vagabond: a man dressed as a silver statue. Over the course of his residency in the town square, the children of Red Creek grow fascinated, angered, and empowered by his presence. Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen in silence and stillness. A nostalgic, heartfelt story of childhood naiveté and the glorious friendships that blossom because of it.
