SHREDS: A Verbatim Theatre Piece Conceived by Felix Gaddie Created by Felix Gaddie, Nastia Goddard, Kason Chesky, and Kate McCracken The Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts
April 2026
Inspired by the work of Anna Deavere Smith, SHREDS features a collection of verbatim monologues and scenes creatively adapted from over 50 anonymous interviews of Northwestern undergraduate students. These interviews, conducted by members of the SHREDS ensemble, explore what loneliness, sex, love, and connection look like every day for students of the university. A highly collaborative, experimental piece that Northwestern audiences described “deeply resonant” and “sincerely impactful.”
