The Night Children by Adam Szymkowicz Role: Dara Directed by Madeline Oberle Los Angeles Theatre Initiative at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival
August 2023

West is stuck. His adventurous, sardonic friend Dara died in a car crash, and he doesn't want to face his grief—or the feelings he had for her when she was alive. He is haunted by Dara’s ghost (or is she a ghost?) as he navigates death and love: observing and separating the world of teenagers around him into Day and Night Children. The world premiere of Adam Szymkowicz’s new minimalist high-school romantic dramedy, performed internationally at the Greenhouse Theater in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

“I’d like to single out the actress who played the nonghost of Dara as particularly good; great job with a tricky role.”

- Ry Herman, EDFringe
